WHAT WE DO
We are a free substance abuse prevention resource for Grand, Moffat, and Routt counties in Colorado. We build awareness and educate the community about Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) issues. We promote, support and educate about ATOD policies and empower youth to make positive choices related to ATOD use. We also focus on building organizational capacity.
HOW DO WE DO IT
Programs offered by GFPC are designed to enhance protective factors and reverse risk factors associated with Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) use. We rely on current research showing that effective prevention efforts must utilize multiple strategies, be long-term, and target diverse segments of the population.
GFPC is looking for a full-time Executive Director to lead the organization into the future. Job duties include overseeing the three county offices, managing grant activities (grant proposal writing/grant budgets/grant reports), organizational administration, including budgeting and financial management, as well as and working with local state and national entities engaged in substance use/abuse prevention for youth and communities. Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of managerial experience; master’s degree a plus. This is a full-time, exempt position and can be located in any county in the GFPC service area.
