These events include Splash (see below), Battle of the Bands, Cosmic Bowling, Pool Parties, Dances, just to name a few. We also provide funding for local after prom and after graduation events.

  • Splash!

The Splash Swimming Activity is an annual event sponsored by Grand Futures Prevention Coalition and Craig Parks and Recreation. Two nights of fun activities, including swimming, karaoke and pizza, are enjoyed by youth in 5th-8th grade.

Juvenile Justice Symposium

Juvenile Justice Symposium (JJS) is a presentation to youth or parents that provides information on laws and rights pertaining to juveniles.  The presentation is given by GFPC staff along with law enforcement and other local experts.

Teen Councils

In Fiscal Year 2011, GFPC created teen councils in Moffat and Grand Counties to model our success in Routt County with the Steamboat Springs Teen Council (SSTC). These community-based processes increase positive leadership development and risk-taking skills among youth, while providing alternative activities for youth in our region.  Learn more about each counties' Teen Council, by clicking on the links below:
